HomeWork For world lit. 9/14/09

Well one story about me that defiantly had a positive effect on me would be the first time I met Cody Whitt. The first time I met Cody was also the first time I ever heard a Pep Band play. It was a volleyball game at Absarokee and I was in the 6th grade, I went with some friends to the game just to hang out, but when I walked into the gym all I can remember is seeing Cody wrecking the drum set with a solo from hell!!!!
To this day I just stop and smile when I think about that solo. It was the most incredible solo of my life because I remember walking behind him while he was playing.
I couldn't here myself think it was so loud. His arms were moving so fast that I just stared trying to see the sticks as he moved around the set. All of a sudden my arm really hurt and I realized that he had broke a stick and it had hit my arm.
I was hooked from that moment on. I wanted to have kids admire me as I busted a solo and to just enjoy playing the way he did.

World lit. 2

I chose the third question which asks whether I think Okonkwo is a hero or a victim. I think that he is a little bit of both.

First he is a hero because he always stands up for what is right in his own way. He doesn't go against his gods but against the people that would try to oppress him. He likes to fight but that is because the way his tribe feels about fighting. He is looked at highly for being a great fighter.

I also think he is a victim because everything that can go wrong does. Some examples of how life keeps taking turns for the worst is he kills the boy, he is banished, captured, and finally feels so badly that he dishonorably takes his own life.
