Well one story about me that defiantly had a positive effect on me would be the first time I met Cody Whitt. The first time I met Cody was also the first time I ever heard a Pep Band play. It was a volleyball game at Absarokee and I was in the 6th grade, I went with some friends to the game just to hang out, but when I walked into the gym all I can remember is seeing Cody wrecking the drum set with a solo from hell!!!!
To this day I just stop and smile when I think about that solo. It was the most incredible solo of my life because I remember walking behind him while he was playing.
I couldn't here myself think it was so loud. His arms were moving so fast that I just stared trying to see the sticks as he moved around the set. All of a sudden my arm really hurt and I realized that he had broke a stick and it had hit my arm.
I was hooked from that moment on. I wanted to have kids admire me as I busted a solo and to just enjoy playing the way he did.
